A true American icon is about to hit Britain’s roads. You can read the article here.
Hello, some time ago i commented on the Pool of London, the Film that i worked on as an apprentice at Mark Browns Wharf..Just wanted to let you know that it has been re-released,and is on sale from Amazon for £9.99….
Hi, Bill. I really enjoyed watching it.
Hi,i gather that you have already seen it then lol Cheers…Bill Killick
Yes, and I would recommend it to anyone interested in the river as it was. The other day a friend recommended Hue and Cry, another old British film, “filmed in the blitzed City of London, round by St Paul’s and along Upper Thames Street by the river.” I’m trying to get a hold of that now, to see the post-War city remember.
Hello, yes Hue and Cry is Brilliant..It stars Harry Fowler,Jack Warner, and Joan Dowling…..Its about a Band of Crooks that send their messages through a Boys Own Magazine, like the Wizard or Champion that we used to read.Lovely shots of the bombed sites around Southwark.Really enjoyable.Good Luck…
Another one with a lot of London Scenes is “The Bells Go Down”,all about the London Fire Service during the Blitz,Starring Tommmy Trinder…of all people.CHeers
Hello,i forgot to mention that Hue and Cry is available from Amazon,,very cheap as well Bill.K
Thanks for the heads up, Bill.
